A 55 year old woman has been left heartbroken by her younger lover who she invited into her home to stay as a tenant and dated for four years. Mary lost her husband seven years ago and wasn’t planning on falling in love again until she met Odhis.
He was living in her plot and she never saw him with any woman so she got close to him. Two weeks after they met, he moved into her apartment where she lived with her daughter. Mary said that she received some backlash for dating a younger man but she didn’t mind because their relationship was beautiful.

She trusted Odhis and he didn’t give her reason to worry. He helped her with the chores, cooked for her, ran errands, even handled her accounts without stealing anything. She went ahead to buy him land and built a house she hoped they would spend their last days in. Then it all came crashing down the day she came back from a funeral.
That day, she had asked Odhis to prepare food for her because she thought she would be coming the next day with a few relatives. But she didn’t see him or her daughter around. Mary assumed her lover had gone to the whole and her daughter went to visit friends but it was not so.
She decided to go to her bedroom to change but on her way she heard moaning coming from her room and when she got there, she saw her now ex-lover with her daughter.
Shocked by the scene in front of her, she stood there for thirty minutes to simply process things. Mary said that both of them saw her but continued having intercourse. When they were done, they got up to pick their clothes and that was when Mary slapped her daughter. Her daughter responded by slapping her back and then they picked their clothes and left.
When she went down to find them, they were no where to be found. This incident happened a year ago and Mary has still not communicated with her daughter or ex-lover.
Mary ended her interview with Tuko, a kenyan website, by advising other women to be careful with who they allow into their homes.
