A 23-year-old woman, Nokuthula Sithole, was brutally stoned to death by her ex-boyfriend, Ceaseman Dala Chauke, in Giyani, Limpopo, South Africa.
Sithole, who was also the mother of Chauke’s child, was reportedly walking home from a local tavern with a friend when she was confronted by her ex-boyfriend on April 8, 2023, in the community of Dzingidzingi.

According to the statement released by Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the spokesperson for the Limpopo police, an argument broke out between the two, which quickly escalated into violence.
Chauke allegedly attacked Sithole with a stone, leaving her critically injured and unconscious. Her friend raised the alarm and sought help from nearby households. When she returned to the scene, Sithole was already critically injured, and her ex-boyfriend was nowhere to be found.
