Return to Anfield Ends In Defeat For Gerrard.

Liverpool legend and Aston Villa’s new manager Steven Gerrard has suffered a disappointing loss upon return to Anfield.

Gerrard ignored all the pomp and ceremony Liverpool fans organized for him and simply focused on getting the desired results for his new team.

However, despite putting up one hell of a fight, Liverpool denied Aston villa any points as they won the match 1-0.

While Villa held Liverpool at bay for over an hour with some key saves from their goal keeper Emi Martinez. 

Unfortunately for Gerrard and his team, their hard work was rendered futile when Tyrone Mings fouled Mo Salah in the penalty box, leading to a penalty kick which Salah scored in style.

With the new results, Liverpool are now 2nd on the Premier League table, with just a point separating them from league leader Man City.
