The source of this calamity was a deceitful travel agent who had extracted a staggering N1.3 million naira from the man’s pockets, assuring him of the ticket’s authenticity.
Tragically, this audacious scam thwarted the man’s travel plans, leaving him unable to board the plane due to the illicit means through which he had paid.
The sham agent had dashed his dreams of Canada, forcing him to endure the frustration of waiting for an alternative flight.
Grandma Shasha shared this harrowing account on TikTok, remarking, “It’s truly a Barbie world! The alarming surge in travel scams is bewildering. In this case, a man was lured with a ticket that never existed, and all it cost him was 1.3 million naira. Now, he’s left to pick up the pieces and attempt to secure a genuine ticket once again.
