Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City has extended their winning streak to 15 games, as they brushed Tottenham aside in an easy victory to strengthen their Premier League reign with seven points.
City’s Ilkay Gundogan, scored a brace after his teammate Rodri’s goal from the penalty spot, had earlier placed Man City in control of the match. Raheem Sterling also had an attempt at goal, but failed to score.
The match was a lesson in humility for Jose Mourinho and his team, who won their first clash with City in November 2020, and were on top of the league table as at then.
Since their first meeting this season, City have won 41 out of 45 possible points, and are top of the league table, while eight placed Tottenham have only gathered 16 points in 14 games.
Manchester City now enjoys an easy reign in the league, and they are 7 points ahead of their closest rivals Leicester City, with a game in hand.
