Manchester United is currently in a perilous state, as their Champions League campaign this season hangs by a thread, after their loss to Paris Saint Germain.
United put up quite a fight in the game against PSG, and Marcus Rashford managed to score a goal in the first half, which cancelled out Neymar’s early goal and leveled the match.
However, the second goal by Marquinhos in the second-half, put PSG in front again and after United’s midfielder Fred was sent off for a rough tackle against Ander Herrera, Neymar got an opportunity to score his second goal in the match (also his 38th Champions League goal), and United’s hopes for survival in the game were dashed.
Following their defeat, United is now on the same level with PSG and RB Leipzig, (as all 3 teams possess nine points each in Group H) and a draw or victory is required for them to qualify for this season’s round of 16.
