Liverpool have signed Luis Diaz from Porto after a successful transfer deal worth £45m, and £15m in potential bonuses.
Diaz’s new contract with the reds keeps him at Anfield until 2027.
However, due to work permit requirements, Diaz may not make his debut this week.
The 25-year-old winger was previously linked with Tottenham, who had their £38m bid rejected.
Luis Diaz scored 14 goals and made five assists in 18 league appearances for Primeira Liga leaders Porto this season.
Currently, he is away on international duty with Colombia for World Cup qualifying matches.
Liverpool has sent a delegation to Argentina – where Colombia play on Tuesday – to conduct a medical on Diaz.
