Manchester City has reached their “highest standard”, as they defeat Watford 3-1 to snatch the EPL number 1 spot from Chelsea.
From that point on, City then went on to torture Watfords defence with their top notch passing and creativity.
Guardiola’s team took control of the match very early, after Raheem Sterling opened the goal tally with a headed goal in the 4th minute.
The hosts were however lucky to have shot stopper Daniel Bachmann on their team, as he kept out multiple goal attempts to keep the goal line at 1-0 for the first 30 minutes.
However, Bachmann was eventually overrun, as Manchester City scored again after Bernado Silva beat two of Watford defenders and sent in Gundogan’s rebound.
Silva then hit a brace, after sending a fine, curling strike past Bachmann for City’s third goal.
Watford however refused to be flawlessly defeated on their home turf, and Cucho Hernandez managed to reduce the deficit by tapping in his own rebound.
“The game could have been over after 10 or 15 minutes and the most important thing is we played in a consistent way that made us control the game.
Speaking after the match, City’s boss Guardiola said “We’re an incredibly consistent team, we played a really good performance and missed a lot of chances.
Manchester City is now top of the table with their new result, as Chelsea lost 3-2 to West-ham, who scored a bizarre winner to steal all 3 points from the blues on Saturday.
