Manchester City have thoroughly crushed their neighbors Manchester United with an excellent showdown at the Manchester Derby, which rubberstamps their control of the Premier League table.
With their victory over United, City now rest easy with a full six points between them and second placed Liverpool.
United had to play the Manchester Derby without injured Cristiano Ronaldo and other key players.
As a result, the red devils found themselves totally outclassed by the quality of Manchester City’s squad.
City’s mid-field maestro Kevin de Bruyne, was the chief architect of United’s woes, as his calm finish placed City ahead early in the game and then restored their lead before half-time after Jadon Sancho put United level with precise low strike.

City then came in for the kill in the second half, as Riyad Mahrez scored when he met De Bruyne’s corner with a half-volley which bounced off Manchester United’s captain, Harry Maguire.
Mahrez then doubled up and scored City’s fourth goal after he raced clear to beat De Gea, though the goal was only given after a lengthy VAR check for offside.
United’s loss in the Manchester Derby has raised mixed reactions amongst fans and club icons, as some blame the player.
