David Adedeji Adeleke professionally known as Davido was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on the 21st of November, 1992. Davido’s music career started while he was at Oakwood University.
He decided to leave school and pursue music full-time, so he relocated to Lagos, Nigeria. In 2011, Davido released his debut single, “Back When,”. His second hit single “Dami Duro” was the single that took the music industry by storm.
The music sensation then released his debut album, Omo Baba Olowo, in 2012.
Between 2013 and 2015, he released “Gobe“, “One of a Kind”, “Skelewu”, “Aye”, “Tchelete (Goodlife)”, “Naughty”, “Owo Ni Koko”, “The Sound” and “The Money”.
In July 2016, Davido signed a record deal with Sony’s RCA Records. In October 2016, he released his 5-track EP Son of Mercy. In 2017, his hit single “Fall” broke the record as the longest-charting Nigerian pop song in Billboard history.
David then won an award in BET for the “best international” act in Nigeria and he went home with the award “Artist of the year” at the AFRIMA award 2018. That same year he released his hit single “Assurance” which was dedicated to his beautiful fiance Chioma Rowland.
On 2019, October 20 David welcomed a son with Chioma.
