Italian Football Manager Antonio Conte, is currently in the spotlight as reports say English football club Tottenham are currently holding advanced negotiations with the former Chelsea boss on taking over the managerial position of their team.
Tottenham dismissed Nuno Espirito on Monday 1st of November, and their Chairman Daniel Levy and managing director Fabio Paratici are in a hurry to fill the void, hence the hasty pace of discussions with Conte.
According to reports, Conte, 52, is already in London holding face-to-face talks, and announcement of a contract might be made as early as Tuesday.
Conte departed Inter Milan in May, after winning Serie A a few weeks earlier. The Italian also won the Premier League and FA cup while in charge at Chelsea, but was sacked in July 2018 after a woeful second season.
Tottenham held discussions with Conte in the Summer following Mourinho’s dismissal, but ended up signing Nuno Espirito instead after failing to reach an agreement with the Italian.
However, following a disastrous 17 games with Espirito(the most recent being their 3:0 loss to Man United), Tottenham is now back with Conte and would hopefully be able to reach an agreement with the former MIdfielder, who has had quite a successful career managing football clubs.
