Liverpool Virgil Van Dijk has reportedly had a successful operation on his knee to treat his ligament injury.
The defender who was injured by a rash tackle from Everton’s keeper Jordan Pickford during the Merseyside Derby is still out indefinitely, even though Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says he is “as good as can be.”
Footballers with ACL injuries have been known to take months to return to action and since Fabinho – who has been filling in for Van Dijk- has also been injured, Liverpool Is now left with a void in their defense.
According to Klopp, Fabinho will not be part of Saturday’s line up against West Ham and is likely to miss more games after that.
