In a bid to take a firm and effective stand against racism in the football world, a new organization has been set up called ‘Football’s Black Coalition (FBC).
According to reports from BBC, the new body FBC, was founded by a group of black coaches alongside retired and current footballers, with the aim to influence and persuade governing agencies in the football world to take bigger steps against racism.
FBC’s establishment comes two weeks after QPR’s football director Les Ferdinand, said the act of taking a knee before matches isn’t as effective anymore and has been “diluted” and it “will not bring about change in the game.”
Queens Park Rangers staff and players, refused to participate in the act of going down on one knee, before their Championship fixture against Coventry City kicked off.
