Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, says Harry Maguire will retain his post as team Captain following the Greece fiasco.
Harry Maguire was given a prison sentence on Greek Island, Syros after being found guilty of aggravated assault, resisting arrest and repeated attempts of bribery.
He however maintains his innocence and has filed an appeal which got the jail sentence suspended and nullified.
“He is going to be our captain,” Solskjaer said.
“We’ll just leave Harry and his people and the process to run. For me, he is a top, an absolute top human being and has always been a positive guy with the right values. So I really hope we can see Harry performing at his best.”
Maguire awaits full retrial in a more senior court and the player told BBC his “conscience is clear” on the issue.
United would start off their Premier League campaign against Crystal Palace on the 19th September.
