Sadio Mane’s penalty was the deciding factor, as he scored to help Senegal defeat Egypt 4-2 on penalties.
With their win over Egypt, Senegal has now bagged it’s first ever AFCON trophy.
Sadio Mane had a chance to win the trophy for Senegal earlier in the match, but his penalty kick was saved by Egypt’s keeper Gabaski.
Senegal’s team now returns to Dakar in a victorious mood with their first ever AFCON trophy in the bag.

Unfortunately, Mane’s club teammate and Egypt’s captain, Salah, was denied the chance to take a penalty kick and had no say in his country’s loss.
