Following Ghana’s exit from AFCON and Arsenal’s 2-0 loss to Liverpool, Thomas Partey says he will make efforts to turn his fortune around.
Partey was a late substitute during Arsenal’s EFL Cup semi-final clash with Liverpool.
Unfortunately, he didn’t last till the end as he was booked twice and sent off before the final whistle.
His EFL dismissal comes two days after he played for Ghana during their group-stage loss to Comoros and subsequent exit from the AFCON.
“I am not happy with all that happened yesterday and at Afcon,” Partey said.
“But I understand only with hard work things will change so I will continue to work hard to change this”.
Speaking further, Partey said: “I am responsible for anything that happened and will take all the critics.
“I should be more intelligent not to get into a challenge when already booked. But this is my personality, I like to fight for every ball.
“I love this club and I love my country even though sometimes things don’t happen how I wanted. I will continue to work harder and make things right.
