Arsenal have finally lost their unbeaten streak, after they suffered their first defeat in seven games against Wolverhampton tonight.
The Gunners scored the first goal of the match, when Pepe managed to get past two Wolves defenders and send the ball into the far post. However, following David Luiz’s controversial sending off, the gunners lost equal footing numerically, and ultimately their lead.
In the second half, Arsenal continued to struggle due to their missing man, and Wolves took full advantage, as Moutinho scored their second goal, by sending a fine strike beyond Leno’s reach into the corner of the post.
All hope for an Arsenal comeback was lost when Bernd Leno in an attempt to cut out Traore’s run, miscalculated and struck the ball with his hand outside of his box and was then sent off.
Following their much needed win, Wolves now climb up the table to 13th place, while Arsenal who missed out on a chance to go 6th on the table, remain in 10th position after their loss.
