Popular footballers Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku, have both been issued a “1 match ban”, due to their unprofessional display during the Milan derby which took place on Tuesday.
Ibrahimovic’s ban came during the match, when the referee showed him his second yellow card, which automatically attracted an immediate red card and a 1 match ban. Lukaku on the other hand was banned for a match, after receiving his second yellow card in this season’s Coppa Italia.
Ibrahimovic denied using racist language in the clash, which could yet be the subject of an investigation.
Contrary to claims made that he made a racist remark at Lukaku, Ibrahimovich on Wednesday, took to his social media page to say “In Zlatan’s world there is no place for racism.”
Both players who gave fans enough entertainment on and off the ball, both made contributions to the scoresheet at San Siro on Tuesday, and a beautiful free-kick from Christian Eriksen was deciding factor that placed Inter Millan ahead, and ultimately secured the win for them.
