Arsenal player Kieran Tierney, says the Gunners “deserved” the boos they got from fans as they moved off the pitch after their shameful 1-0 loss to Burnley.
Despite having some fine chances to defeat Burnley in the match, the gunners were the architects of their own misfortune, as they continuously sqauandered all their chances with poor finishing, and then conceded an own-goal from the team captain himself, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Already far away from a respectable position on the league table, the Gunners have now sunk even lower, as they are now 15th on the table, with 7 losses in 10 games.
According to Tierney, “We are not showing the manager what we can do and how much we believe in him, every game there are signs we are doing a bit better but it is still not good enough.
“Hard work is the only thing [that can fix this], nothing else for it. There are no excuses. There is nothing I can say that will make people believe a positive thing is going to come out of this.”
In a funny twist, the Gunners have maintained a spotless record in the Europa League this season, as they have won all their fixtures in the league. Unfortunately, they seem to be unable to replicate their winning streak in the Premier League.
